Selangor FC will host Kuala Lumpur FC for the Klang Valley Derby in the 2023 Super League match at the MBPJ Stadium, Kelana Jaya tomorrow (August 8) at 9:00 pm.

This will be the 88th meeting between #SELKLC. The Red Giants have won 52 matches and drawn 18. In addition, the Red Giants have also scored 163 goals so far from previous encounters.

The Head Coach of Selangor FC, Tan Cheng Hoe, hopes that the team is always ready for attacks coming from the opponent.

"If we look at the two recent games, they have scored a considerable number of goals. This shows that their team is on good momentum offensively. We also have to hope that our defenders will be up to the task of withstanding the attacks from the opposing team, especially from their forwards. But I think we also need to acknowledge that the strength of our team is also in our offense. 

"The Klang Valley derby will definitely be a very intense match. The coaches have made preparations for tomorrow's big showdown. Although we have some players who cannot be with the team due to suspension, I am confident that the available players are capable of shouldering the responsibility to help the team get the 3 points," stressed Tan Cheng Hoe.

As for the availability of the players, according to Tan Cheng Hoe, Fazly Mazlan, Sharul Nazeem and Alexander Agyarkwa will be suspended after collecting three yellow cards. Besides that, recently injured Khuzaimi Piee has recovered and will likely be with the team tomorrow.
